Onigiri (Japanese Rice balls)

Easiest lunch/ snack idea.

Perfect for children that love sushi and perfect for lunchboxes.

Only takes a couple of minutes to make.

Onigiri Japanese Rice ball

Ingredients


1 cup x Japanese Rice

Japanese Sushi Vinegar

Kewpie Mayonnaise

Sushi Seaweed

1 x piece Wild Atlantic Salmon - ( cooked with soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, mirin)


Directions


  1. Cook the rice, then let the rice cool down adding 1 tablespoon sushi vinegar into the rice and mix gently.

  2. Cook the salmon in a glaze using the ingredients above.

  3. Break the salmon up and mix it with rice, then add a tbsp of mayonnaise.

  4. Using glad wrap, scoop the rice into the grad wrap then close the glad wrap. Squeeze to form a triangular shape, squeezing the rice.

  5. Add a piece of seaweed through the middle to hold it together.
